Is this done?

No.

Who is this for?

No one (in particular).

Any thoughts?

Actually, I never even had a TikTok so maybe I’m not even who this is for.

I think that something that contributes to shorter attention span when it comes to social media is trust. Attention is a currency that can make people immensely wealthy in a short period of time. It’s also easier for people to post content online, so the barrier to being seen is low.

This can make people doubt if the content they just decided to engage in is worth their time. Any whiff of low quality or clickbaity/deceitful vibes and we bounce.

This is an oversimplification because our brains are complex and how social media is changing them is multi-faceted. There are also infinite reasons why someone would log on to “surf the Net” in the first place.

Part of the reason why I want to improve my writing is so that the people with resonance can also trust that I won’t waste their time (which tends to be at low supply, let’s bffr).
